The Lucid Management TeamJay M. Eastman, Ph.D., has been chief executive officer of Lucid, Inc., since its founding in 1991. Dr. Eastman also serves on the board of Arotech Corp., a U.S. public company, and has been a board member of several other companies, both public and private. He previously worked as executive vice president and senior vice president of strategic planning for PSC, and as president of Optel Systems. He holds, as inventor or co–inventor, 41 patents. Dr. Eastman has been a fellow of the Optical Society of America (OSA) and the Society of Photo–Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE), as well as an honorary member of the Rochester Engineering Society. Dr. Eastman holds a B.S. in optical engineering and a Ph.D. in optics, both from the University of Rochester. Kenneth A. Hurley is Lucid’s chief financial officer and chief operating officer. He began working with the company in 2002 via his consulting firm, The Hurley Group LLC, wherein he has functioned as interim CFO and COO for numerous clients in the information technology and life sciences sectors. Mr. Hurley earlier held general management positions with Unitrode Corporation in the U.S. and Europe, and was a general practice manager with a Big Four public accounting firm. He is a CPA, with an M.B.A. from Northeastern University and a B.A. in business from St. Michael's College. William J. Fox is Lucid’s vice president for technical operations. He joined the company in 1999, serving until 2005 as engineering manager. Mr. Fox previously held product engineering positions at Mitsui-Pathtek, Burron Medical, and Fisher Price. He currently specializes in technologies such as video-rate confocal scanning laser microscopy and design/development of optics and electronic instrumentation. He holds inventor or co-inventor patents in confocal imaging head design and optical examination of tissue, plus instrumentation design and methodology. Mr. Fox has B.S. degrees in both mechanical engineering and physics from the State University of New York. Marcy K. Davis-McHugh is Lucid’s vice president of administration and grants. She serves on the company’s board of directors as corporate secretary, and as a director for the U.K. subsidiary Lucid International Limited. With Lucid since 1995, she’s also held positions as marketing coordinator and sales manager for medical devices. Ms. Davis-McHugh is a member of the Society of Clinical Research Associates. She holds a B.S. in business management and finance from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York, and has also studied at the University of Salzburg’s American Institute of Foreign Study, in Austria. |
