Automatic image control

The Automatic Image Control (AIC) option is a combination of software and hardware which allows the user to activate a control algorithm for the laser circuit. The result is automatic changes to the laser power for best-quality illumination of VivaScope^® confocal images. As the user changes depth or XY position, AIC will continuously sample the image and adjust the laser power accordingly.

AIC continues to function during all scanning operations. This is especially useful when executing large VivaStack^® profiles across many different skin types and locations. When AIC is activated, it is no longer necessary to fine-tune the laser power changes within the stack profile. The stack will execute depth changes normally, but laser power will be adjusted automatically by the AIC for optimal image illumination.
