Lucid routinely sponsors courses to familiarize dermatopathologists with the diagnostic reading of confocal images. These courses are taught by two of the world’s experts in confocal imaging. These courses will be held at the Strathallan Hotel in Rochester, NY and are aimed at dermatologists and dermatopathologists who are interested in learning how to use confocal imaging for the diagnosis of various skin lesions, including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma along with other skin disease.

Confocal training is broken up into two one-and-a-half day courses. The first course, Confocal 101, is designed to provide an overview of the technology, terminology and basic use of the systems. The second course, Confocal 102, contains an in-depth review of cases, along with instructor-led diagnosis and discussion. Cases will range from easily diagnosed to more difficult, with expert review and commentary on each case.
